Tom Encore - Broadband

After a year-long hiatus, Concrete Cut returns with an EP of boundary-busting bass courtesy of Tom Encore. Along with two originals, Broadband also features three remixes from Deft, Kodiak, and Bambooman.

As always, Warsaw's Tom Encore pushes the envelope with his second release on Concrete Cut. Broadband is an EP of contrasts, where mean bass lines growl next to UK garage-infused beats and mutant synths bubble up alongside noisy, London-tinged house. Both "The Roach" and "Broadband" are prime examples of this producer's unique talent for taking dance music to new levels of weird and wonderful.

The EP also features diverse remixes from three UK artists (a first for this Poland-centric label) reflecting Concrete Cut's recent move of its HQ to London. Taking Broadband through forward-thinking house, drum n bass, footwork, and leftfield bass are Deft (Project Mooncircle/Rwina), Kodiak (Numbers/Hot Haus), and Bambooman (Sonic Router Records).

Out now. Purchase: Juno, Boomkat, Beatport, iTunes.

About Tom Encore

Having kicked off his career being voted the best Polish DJ in 2008, Warsaw-based Tom Encore's releases have appeared on a handful of labels showcasing his varied sound – from dubstep on Rottun Recordings to bass-heavy house and electronica on Concrete Cut. This RBMA Bass Camp participant's live shows have taken him across Poland, as well as on several trips abroad, including a slot at last year's Glade Festival in the UK. His productions have gathered nearly a million views in total on YouTube, been supported by artists such as Starkey, Gaslamp Killer, and Foreign Beggars, and have also been featured on Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1.

About Concrete Cut

Founded in Warsaw in 2010, Concrete Cut is a London-based digital label devoted to promoting the brightest young talents in electronic music from Poland. Starting out as a dubstep label, Concrete Cut eventually branched out to release all types of bass, electronica, and avant-garde club music. Following a move of Concrete Cut’s HQ to London in 2013 and a year on hiatus, Concrete Cut will close the year with a release from Tom Encore, and, for the first time ever, contributions from non-Polish artists – Deft, Kodiak, and Bambooman.

Concrete Cut releases are available in all good digital shops or via Bandcamp
